
On November 28, Hang Yuanxiang, Executive Deputy Secretary General of the China Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification, met with Mr. Gai Lin, Secretary General of the Europe China Friendship Association and his delegation in Beijing.
Executive Deputy Secretary General Hang Yuanxiang first expressed his gratitude to the EU China Friendship Association for its commitment to promoting the friendly development between the EU and China. He pointed out that China and the EU have a profound traditional friendship and a good foundation for mutual cooperation. He believed that with the continuous efforts of both sides, the development of China EU relations will surely usher in a better future. Executive Deputy Secretary General Hang Yuanxiang introduced the deployment of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on Taiwan, and exchanged views with the delegation on how to carry out overseas work against "independence" and promote reunification.

Secretary General Gai Lin said that Taiwan, Tibet and Xinjiang are all integral parts of China's territory. China and the EU should work closely to enhance mutual understanding and contribute to maintaining world peace and stability.
Mr. James Holland, Deputy Secretary General of the EU China Friendship Association, Assistant to the European Parliamentarians, and Mr. Su Peng, Chief CEO of China of the International Language Institute and Director of the EU China Friendship Association, also made speeches respectively. Song Wei, Deputy Secretary General of China Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification, and Zhang Manxin, President of China Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification in Europe, attended the meeting.
The EU China Friendship Association aims to enhance the friendship between the EU and China, promote mutual learning and coordinate bilateral relations.
